Chapter 28 Valentines

dont mind the picture... Yves took it and he focuses on New York City and not us...

Yes... Valentines Day... A day of Hearts, Chocolate, and flowers are put together... it is friendship day to people who are still single...

but for my intentions it was Valentines...

Last week i had so much plans for this day to come thinking on what to give.. how creative should it be... thinking would she like it... would she be surprise by it... so here are the options that i gave to myself...

1st: to make a dozen of origami rose flowers which actually failed because it was too hard...
2nd: a picture of a dozen flowers wrapped around and put in stick.. it failed too because it was too complicated...
3rd: Apples wrapped around with hearts and it say "your my apple of my heart" and "an apple a day keeps the doctor away have a happy healthy Valentines but also failed due to procastination..
4th: Go to Jolibee which is going to open on Feb 14 and buy her a bucket of jolibee best chicken, the chickenjoy, which she likes and put flowers on the side and a half a dozen flowers... this time succeeded...

so this is the story... at around 9:30am we arrive in 63rd st. queens blvd to buy some jolibee but the line was long and waited for it to subside.. but unfortunately it didn't it went from bad to worst... so at 10:30pm i waited in line a block away from Jolibee...

After an enduring freezing 3hours of waiting i was in the door that says jolibee and jolibee was standing outside frozen where the gates of burger, chicken and mango peach pie are in sanctuary.... finally i entered the door felt the warmth of air inside and moved to the next level which was the ordering of the orders... it took 25mins just to take my order and another 25 mins to get my order...

my God what you do when your in love... you go a 110% sacrifice...

finally i got my order and dash towards the door and Yves was standing there waiting for me to bring him, his peach mango pie... then we drove towards the jersey city using brooklyn-queens expressway to go home... then we arrive in Jersey city and forgot to buy flowers...

so we took a detour towards grove ave. and bought roses in Mr. Lee's flower shop and drove towards Reservior, where the people who are beautiful and kind are... except Joseph, the filipina lady in the second flr of kats house and the big fat guy on top of Jacq's place..

we brought the food and the flowers up... i tied the fake roses in the handle of the bucket of chickenjoy to make it more valentine-y... and brought this heavenly bucket and enchanting red rose to the Goddess which will be embarking at 4:30pm...

as i went down the stairways of Kats place.. my heart was throbbing faster... shaking then finally i held my ground in the door of Jacq's place and took my cellphone out and dialed the number of Jacq...

it was ringing "ring, ring, ring, elo!" the sound of her voice picked up the phone.. and i said "can you go down for a minute, may bibigay ako"...

"heeh, ok" she said...

then as she open the door that separates us... she saw the flowers and the bucket... she made the "you shouldn't have" face expression.. and finally i said my line

"Happy Valentines, Jacq" and gave her the flowers and the bucket with i recieved a kiss in the cheeks and a hug...

after i gave her the two enchating gifts.. she invited me to the movie with Cha and Jen... how can i refuse an invitation from her... so i said sure...

so i went to Kat's house and ate those juicy, covered gravyed burger steak which filled my stomach... she called me at 5pm and said

"oh tara na".. so i went down and we walked towards the bus stop... we talked about her test results...then finally the bus arrived and we hop in....

The bus ride was fun... we talked about Jolibee and how to get there by train or by car... she joked around about the 2$, 3$, 5$ toll fee that she always say... i didnt care about anything she kid about me because she was smiling and that's all..

my eyes couldnt leave her beautiful face everytime she smiles or laugh...

after that we went down at newport mall.. when she said im going to pay for your bus fare...
i was like "waaah"? then "ok" then "thanks" it was very weird that i was skipping every word...

so went down and went inside JC penney and she was telling about Pau's gift to her, the stripe sweater and was laughing... and she was saying that she never bought anything in JCpenney which eventually lead to "i haven't bought anything too"... so Cha was calling Jacq because Cha is scared to be too alone haaha..

so anyways we met Cha in Forever 21 and window shop alittle, went to GAP and we were so unsure where to go that we were joking that we Kat here to know where to go and laugh.. we went up and bought the tickets because it was a Saturday night and the combination of Valentines equals waiting therefore to avoid waiting we bought the tickets earlier which was a smart idea.. so we met Jen down outside Journeys and Sephora... then we went up to watch the movie which was...

a chick flick movie "he is not into you"... which was a real good movie to watch.. i've learn alot too about relationships and all.. I hate Cha and Jen in the movie because of the fact their were to obvious!

they were like "oh popits sit beside Jacq oh" lol which made me uncomfortable and just sat next to Jen... so that what happened inside of the movie house...

after the movie we were bored so we went to Babo... Jacq and Jen ordered coffee, Cha ordered Pineapple ice tea with pearl shakes inside and i ordered a seasoned beef noodles which took like forever to get to me..

so they were discussing about what time will they be going home and that it's going to be scary and i was like thinking i'll bring Jacq home first kasi Jen and Cha lives close by... but a smarter idea was to smses Kat and Yves...

So i texted them where they are... and asked them if they want to hangout in Babo.. they told me that they are going to eat first then text me if we are still here in Babo...

so everyone was safe and sound...

finally Kat and Yves arrive and everyone was like relieve that they dont need to commute home was happy...

so we chatted and took pictures and of course i took pictures of Jacq too... then the Babo girl told us that they were about to close so we left and went in the pier to take some pictures... and Cha and Jen was at it again.. telling me and Jacq to post "para daw" dates hahaha but unfortnunately Yves screwed up the picture and its like that... so we went home and brought Jen first then Cha then Jacq and Kat then me.....



but before Yves and I left the reservior place... there was..... an alone time with jacq... it was more than 10mins that we were alone outside the house waiting for Yves and Kat to go down and bring the gravy to jacq and take me home...

My head was full of things that my heart want to say right there but i was scared... I was looking at her... opening my mouth... closing it... then look at the clouds... then look at her again until the cycle repeats itself..

then finally i said to her "grabe ang lamig ngayon noh"
and she said "yeah, grabe"
then Kat and Yves went out of the house...
then we said our good byes... hugged kat and Jacq
entered the car with the regret of not telling her...

Chapter 27 happy birthday

A special girl to me was about to turn twenty.. she was the girl i like a year ago... She was the smartest, prettiest, maturest, and tallest girl i fell in love with again and again...

a twenty year old girl who is about to graduate from the harsh world of nursing and who is going to be a fine nurse will enter the world of the twenties and leave the world of the teens...

Twenty, the number between the last teen year and the legal age to drink in the USA.. Yes, twenty is the year that will end your teen years and will enter the world of young adulthood...

On 9th of January was the day that Jacqueline Herda turns 20.... it was a beautiful day to me because of the fact that the people that i was working with gave me that day off, to finish my errands.. the 1st errand that i have to tackle was my school registration which was so in the deadline right there... so i got all my important things for registration and dash towards 70 sip ave..

As i was in the bus and was about to go down... i remember something that i forgot and which was the most important of all that i brought and that was my tax of 2007... i was furious and was telling myself "STUPID"... so errand one was a failure.. and the second errand i have to do was to buy Jacq her birthday present which was a really complicated matter due to the fact that she is so secretive...

So i called Kat and Yves if they are on the way to Newport because they haven't bought their gifts too... Yes we were procastinating...

So we met up at JC penney, went to Forever 21 to check out if Jacq wants anything there.. Kat was looking at this black and purple stripes V-neck sweater but i told her, jacq has too many of those clothes..

so after that we went to Aeropostale and found what our "gifts for Jacq" desires... kat bought a sweat pants for Jacq to use for losing weight but i dont she needs too... she is still sexy to me... and a short shorts... so they their gifts but for me....

it was hard... too many Ifs buzzing around my head that day...

so i asked Kat for some advice and we ended up with the decision of buying a Gray Aeropostale hoodie for her...

So finally we got to Kat's house and prepare for the small party Jacq told us about... Kat place her gifts in a gift bag which is too plain and everybody does it this days..

but for me, i wrapped it in newspaper for recycle sakes... then i made cute newspaper bowtie and place it in the middle of the newspapered gift..

so finally we went to Jacq's "small" party which was more than a dozen was there... Most of the people she knows was there.. it was quite a small party for her but for me it was a huge one...

So we ate some chicken, shumai, rice, spaghetti and pancit... and other deserts that were hiding from my stomach...

Chapter 26 Joseph's went balistic!

It was a new year to remember... first of all i got my first stomach virus in my whole life.... and it was the worst one ever.. imagine sitting in the toilet and carrying a trash can and removing the food i ate from both ends... Yes, this is a new year to remember...

The Maderazo family hosted the new year of 2009... it was a simple party where neighbors were invited... the question is how did a west side boy ended up in the heights where people are so rich and stuff...

well, this what happened... my family had their own plans on celebrating new year...

my sister mary anne spent her New year with her friends while my sister Jenny spent hers in her BFs house even my dad was invited... so sadly i was left alone in the house with my dad's car... no where to go and a bad way to spend a new year alone...

but a miracle happened yves texted me.. where i am and i told him that im at home alone... so he asks kat if i can go here and Kat asks Bia if i can go there..

And Bia said yes... so i immidiatedly left the house and went towards a deli because Yves was smoking hunger... so to show my appreciation for what Yves did to me... i bought him two packs of cigarette..

then finally i came and Bia openned the door and i was still shy because this is reservior people only party and i came to crash it...

so i said my hi's to everyone that i know which is majority of the people there...

and i said hi to Jacq...

Jacq was wearing her stripped black and blue sweater with her hair down... her whole family was there, Kat's mother and Yves was there, and some of the people was there and the only one that doesn't linked to anyone there was me... :( i am just a friend thats my relationship in that reservoir place...

and so i took out my camera and takes shot of people and most importantly jacq...

i took pictures of her, her mother and nille in the couch.. and i was chatting with her mother too...

then finally, a minute to 12am...

everyone was standing up....

Happy New Year....!!

Kat and Bia was jumping..

Everyone was shouting...

there are multiple movements on the floor which made Hell angrier...

there was a knock on the door... Bia's mom or dad openned it and it was...

Joseph!! the chinese landlord with his face red with anger and his nose blowing like a bull...

they had an arguement about the stumping and all those things which unfortunately ended the party..

what a party pooper... and everyone left already...

i left that place happy because of one thing...

it was my first to kiss Jacq on the cheeks... i never did kiss Jacq in the cheeks.. She also kiss me in the cheeks which satisfied my night... i dont know why i dont kiss jacq in the cheeks everytime i say goodbye to her, just shake her hands or hug her...

so there you go.. my first time kissing jacq on the cheek and my first ever stomach virus thanks to Bia!

Chapter 25 Backtrack

Let me just backtrack a little bit... this is fair that i met mike, bea's boyfriend and road my sister's 1987 honda LX A.K.A Rusty...

as you can see in the picture this is where it! almost happened...

It means i almost said it...

Yes we are all alone for 5mins riding that cable car...

it was silent one but in 2.5mins...

i looked at her....

openned my mouth....

and said....

...............................................

nothing... i know i said it because my lips moved but my voice cowardly hides underneath my adam's apple..

She said "ano"

and I said "nothing"

this is a regret that i had since now... let us see if i can build up my courage just to tell her what i feel for her...

i dont care about the answer... i just want to know that there is someone out there that loves her truly....

Chapter 24 Kat;s it your birthday

Ah! Christmas... Mary and Joseph was looking for a place to stay in Bethlehem... And the Jesus Christ was born in a manger... with the sheperds and the three kings visited him... and voila Christmas was born....

Jesus Christ wasn't the only one who was special to me that was born in the 24th of december...

A girl name Kathleen Dy was born.... with the sheperds (Jonna, Yancy, Berns, Gary, Egi, Pau, Miguel, Jose, Mark, Nolan, and many more), the three kings which had their presents (Yves, the aeropostale jacket, Mike, the Cake and Me!, The Hat) and the angels which were (Jacq, Nille, Bea, Bia, Cha, Jen and Paula)

were there to visit this special girl in her special day...

and yet we visited her one day earlier than expected... we went there at the 23rd....

So in the afternoon i havent bought Kat's gift yet due to the fact of procastination was my middle name... so i went to newport mall and bought her gift... then after that i was thinking what to do afterwards.. then a phone call was vibrating my left pocket and it was Kat...

She was in BJs or the store beside BJs buying stuff for her birthday and needs help... so i went there in the goodness of my heart to help her... Yves was there too... so we bought the soda, the cake and other stuff.. and went to her place to help with the preparation....

As i was climbing up the stairs of Kat's place and looked at the window...

I saw.....

Jacq.... she was talking to someone and laughing... my god she laughs gorgeously... then Kat and Yves went up and saw me looking at the window and took a pick too and just what they expected.. they saw jacq and was saying "ikaw ha"...

so after that i called her and told her "bakit ka tumatawa hahah" and she said "hah paano mo nalaman"

then i told her we are in the window and she was looking and still she couldnt see until Kat turned on the lights...

in that first moment of seeing her... she was like an angel without wings... the light was pointing at her making her glow... i just love how she looks, how she smiles...

so anyways... we went up... Kat with her OCD personality was panicking that no one is going to her birthday... i told her "ok lang yan nandito naman kami ni yves" then laughed...

she was on the verge from crying when the doorbell rang and the neighbors have arrive... Bia and Jacq... then Bea, Mike and Ben arrived.. everyone else started to arrive in the place..

and it was a full house again... so we ate the food then sang happy birthday to her... but enough about her... i'm writing about jacq not her...

she was wearing her occasion sweater i believe because everytime i'm there that seems to be the sweater she is wearing.. that grey sweater of her...

she was beautiful and of course my camera couldn't resist taking her pictures... i love it when i take her candid shots.. when she is smiling because its so her... just being her not caring about a camera taking her photo...

She was at her best beauty... well that depends on whose judging her...

so the party ended around 12am and i have to leave because i have work the next day....

and so i hugged her my good byes... and left...

First of all New people were introduce and these are Jonna, Yancy(papa bear), Olga and Micheal... These are new people that have been inside the house of Ate Grace, Our loving host, for the first time... and they all fit in the bunch of wierdos in that place...

Grace- cool, small and has a mole
Marlon- purely white, no blood, looks more like a vampire and a good mixer
Nille- Jacq's awesome sister!!, and has a mole which i believe is still growing...
Jacq- Tall! Very tall, as in super Tall!! and did i mention Tall and... beautiful...
Yves- Hardcore activist! has the corniest jokes, and kills the laughter(joke)
Kat-Small, smart, at sexy na nga wala akong maisip na S eh...
Miguel- Visanglish(visaya at english), travels from NY to NJ dont know why and met his love in here a year back...
Marlyze- Sleeps, loves barbie and myle cyrus
Nengki- High in cholesterol, has a thing with the karaoke mic and is so unlucky on lucky nine
Jose- Quiet..... Silent...... soundless.... noiseless... still.... hush...tacit.... ......
Rovier- Big, Huge, Gigantic and has even bigger sense of humor
Me-Photographer, Tall, almost fat, Likes Jacq A L O T!

so these are the people i remember in my memories who are always there in Ate Grace's House..
and if i miss out people please do tell me...

so anyway it was almost Christmas like december 20 that we did this drinking party...

It was fun for me because my friends are there and Jacq was there....
i couldn't control my camera because it keeps taking pictures of Jacq in every event... as in every single event that i have my camera and jacq was there...

it is like the camera has taken a liking to jacq.. of course... she was beautiful, she has a good heart, she has a brain of a perfectionist, she is... who she is.... a nineteen years old girl, who loves her family and her friends...

That is why the camera chose Jacq... and of course it is me who has the camera hahaha....

A camera is there to show love and hatred... has the power to see the past... has a power to remember... but it has no power to change the past and as i look at the pictures i have taken... i sometimes regretted and accepted that i didnt tell her... it might be not the right time but those two years were wasted... not showing any actions... not being brave to tell her.. nothing...

yes... i am a wuss when in comes to love... being shy, being a nervous wreck...

how could i past through this phase... how can i overcome this obstacle....

Chapter 22 gobbledyguk

As Mcdonalds was in my sight...

As I openned the door...

As the food was given to me...

As the Double-cheeseburger was bitten...

As the Raspberry Ice Tea was Half-empty

As the salty small french fries was drenched with crimson sauce (ketchup)

As the Notebook connects with the pencil...

The story of what happened on thanksgiving night was written...

There were three different thanksgiving occurances that night...

The first one was a total stranger for the part of me.. there was no one except my dad that i knew...

the Only reason why i went there is because my dad knew them, he was invited and it was on the path of Our family Thanksgiving which was the second thanksgiving i went too..

So After i ate that juicy baked thanksgiving turkey stuffed with pineapple... we finally headed towards my sister's house and was about to eat again...

Another baked turkey which was drowned into gravy... i couldnt resist not to eat because dude the gravy was leaking out of the turkey!! yummy!... so i took some, like the legs and the neck... then drank two bottles of corona just to add some flavor to this turkey i was having... then that's it... for my family get together thanksgiving party.. Of course we talked and chatted abit but that wasnt the reason why i was typing this story...

so after the my sister's house.. we went home and i was devastated because that's it? its not even 12 in the evening yet and we are heading home...

then a miracle happened...

a call... from Yves saying that they were going to Bea Maderazo's house for thanksgiving and was asking if i want to go.... Of course i said yes because they are my friends and would love to hang out with them... Pee wee was there and would love to see what happens to him and Bea... Bea Sabino was there and would love to annoy her...

and the main reason which is...

If Bia's house is in reservior

and reservior is where jacq lives

therefore Jacq's is in Bia's house(nax philosophy) hahaha

and true enough she was there... her purple shirt and black vest and yes, her blue jeans...

Yes... My night was totally awesome... Jacq was there, Jacq was happy, Jacq IS beautiful and still the same... which makes her Pretty!....

and Yeah i ate another turkey!! which made my Seratonin level sky rocketing the roof and made me sleep, a good sleep...

Thanks to the people that made this possible... Kat(because without her there will be no Yves) Yves(because without him there will be no Kat, Yves's Car (because without it there will be no transportation), Bia (without her there will be no party), Bia's house (without it there will be no shelter), Bea Sabino (without her there will be no communication with Pee Wee) and Pee Wee (without him why would Bia invites us) hahhahahh:P PHILOSOPHY!!

chapter 21 AB meets LD

as you can see in the picture in the left... whose converse are these?

the meeting of the Anak Bayan and Lakas Diwa in the small area called Mayon Grille.... 

i was sleeping the whole day, nothing to do but going online, eating lucky me instant noodles and sleeping the whole afternoon.... then finally the meeting was about to start... Yves, Kat and Bea were calling me in my phone which was silent in that moment..  

but woke up and changed my clothes then just walk towards Mayon Grille.. it wasnt that far from me that's why i was late hehehhe.... its just a 3minute walk up to west side then just 5 blocks towards the left... so i was walking... then my phone rang... it was kathleen... with her high pitch voice "asan ka na!"... i told her that im almost there.... 

then i walked pass Mayon Grille and saw everyone i know.... and was shock!

Jacq was there... sitting between Bea and Kat... as in she has her blue jack, her gray sweater, her blue jeans and her jackass converse.... 

She was there, i didnt know who brought her there but it changed my sleepy atmosphere to an alert one... 

she was there talking to kat...

she was there talking to bea...

she was there and they even tell me... lol 

so after the AB and LD meeting... kuya Alan went in and got the food for his birthday!! we were all invited and spent the night in Kuya Alan's place or someone's place... 

and like i said Jacq was there.......

chapter 20 lucky 9

Lucky nine,  a good game when your drinking and a better game with a marker... yes... we massacre our faces with nengki's eyeliner black and green which evidently occupied our faces.. 

i was lured again by Yves this time by the words that will definitely hook me... and that is "c jacq nandito"...

i was saying no and telling them that i couldnt go because i dont have a car and its freaking cold and snowing.... so i put the down the phone and slept for a bit.. then the timing was right my dad went home... and without thinking, i wore my clothes and get my dad's keys and told him that im going out because there is a birthday party to attend too at around 10pm.. hahhaha

so i didnt call them.. i just drove over towards ate grace house and surprise them... 

then i arrived and called yves to open the door.. he was shocked because i told him i couldnt go and you know what he said to me "i knew it lakas ng powers ni jacq hhahah" 

so i took pictures and of course i love taking pictures of jacq... she is so cute!! adorable and beautiful... i love her hair and her eyes.. shit i can go on and on describing her...

im still deeply in love her....

chapter 19 sadness

wrong picture that was for the surprise birthday

"i always remember the twenty-fifth of october" john says.. it was this time of the month that the birthday party Bea Sabino, one of my closes friends in this imperialist society of america... She didn't expect to have a birthday but thanks to her loving caring mother. She had one and next week she had another one (surprise thanks to us) hahaha... so she invited me to go to this birthday party but Kathleen(finally the right name) and Yves told me not to go so she will be heart broken, sad, devastated that her friends from this capitalistic country could'nt go... 

unfortunately... i was lured by a text message Bea sent me... it was one of those magic words "they" (yves, kat and bea) use to lure me and that is "jacq is here".... so i got my dad's car and brought Egi and Frances with me.... it was so late but i still manage to arrive in that house of sweets... Yes Bea's mom wants to kill us by over feeding us but the good part is... its good food thats killing us... 

so we were having fun... talking about the "this side up" concert.. chatting about how hard nursing is... singing eternal flames in the karaoke mic... eating those deathly good leche flans... drinking those bottles of corona...

suddenly jacq's phone rang.... 

it was her sister Nille asking her where she was...

then as everybody knows i bug everyone and so i said "Nille ang pangit mo!!"

then jacq shouted at me :( with the emotion of anger with it...

everything was silence like the saying "an angel walked pass us"...

it was heart breaking for me and realization that i still have feelings for jacq... i was saying sorry to her but she was just snobbing me.... not talking to me... then it was time to go.... that night i texted her my apologies but still no replies.... i couldnt sleep knowing that i made as in me made jacq angry... the night was bitter for me.. 

the next day she was online and i asked one more time for forgiveness, then she signs out... my heart was stabbed endlessly...

but.... suddenly.....

she replied to me "dont worry about it... i was in a bad mood and you... you have to sometimes think on what your saying because it could really offend people"(hirap ng tagalog ahhaha)

she was invisible in yahoo messenger.... Yahoo! those stabbings in my heart healed at once... i was happy :)

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
TAKING A MASTERPIECE




it was a saturday morning, where john has to wake up at 8:00am in the morning for his microbiology class. True, he wakes up at exactly 8am but stands up at 8:30... but this day was different.. his class starts at 9am but he was too drunk to even get up... he vomitted three times because of all the beer he had taken for that day... he didnt wake up that 8am but instead he woke up at 10:30 which he texted nengki about he is not feeling well that day... but unfortunately nengki told him that he needs to go because it was our test for microbiology which he totally forgot... so what he did was pulling his pants due to the fact that he vomitted his pants off... change his shoes because of the that he also vomitted it.... change his shirt because he also vomitted it... long story short he changed everything even the scent of the vomit by spraying the whole bottle of perfume....



so anyways... he rushed out of the house and even got his dad's car and drove towards NJCU... but it wasn't his luck... the test was over and teacher left... so nengki, olga and jacq was there... jacq of course was beautiful. she was wearing a green hoodie..(I think) and green corderoid(i think thats the spelling... pants, with her matching green shades....



it was beautiful day, warm outside and of course jacq was there.... she told us what she wants to do that day but john didnt have what she wants... huhuh... she was to take...

which john always wanted to do... so it was a sad day for john...



the next sat...



he promised that he would bring his camera and will never be late and true enough both promises were fulfilled.. he was early, he found jacq in the halls because always as in always she comes in the first... john loved the way she was sitting on the chair studying her nursing handouts... peaceful, quiet and beautiful were the words to describe her in that moment... then john bugged her because that's what he always do...
